The Sons of Cadia DLC is a major expansion for the turn-based strategy game, Warhammer 40,000: Sanctus Reach, that introduces the heroic forces of the Astra Militarum, or Imperial Guard, to the battlefield. This pack adds a completely new playable faction and a new campaign, allowing you to command the renowned Cadian Shock Troops in their last stand against the Ork hordes.
The core of this DLC is its new, long single-player campaign told from the perspective of the Imperial Guard. You will lead the forces of Castellan Jakren Stein on the snowy battlefields of Alaric Prime in a desperate effort to defend the planet from the endless "Red Waaagh!" of the Orks. The campaign features nine story scenarios and a new progression system for your units, giving you a chance to level up your soldiers with over 70 new abilities.
The Sons of Cadia pack significantly expands the game's unit roster, adding 27 new units with their own unique playstyle. Unlike the elite Space Wolves, the Astra Militarum relies on overwhelming numbers and powerful firepower. You'll command:
